What’s in a workout?

Workouts can be anything that gets your heart rate elevated or gets you moving in new and interesting ways.

One way to organize a workout is by creating three sections; Warm-up, Skills, and HIIT. Crossfit uses this workout organization and so does MovNat.

Warm-up consists of a full body warm-up with a couple of warm-ups directly related to the Skills section.

Skills is where you work on a specific movement (like handstands) or exercise (like deadlift). You adapt the movements or exercises to your current skill level and mobility.

HIIT can be a Tabata-style workout or super sets. Crossfit and MovNat  do exercises that work several parts of the body at once. Most of the workouts I’ve done with follow-along videos on YouTube or using the HIIT Builder app fall into this category.

Take charge of your fitness. Create workouts specifically catered to your needs and interests. You can do this.

Complete the Circle. Complete the Workout.

We use circles to complete each interval within the workout. The green circles complete each exercise and the red circles complete each rest. The slow, tan circle completes the workout.

You can also view each interval as a list. Just tap the “Intervals” text on the top-right corner of the screen.

Push hard until the end!
